Planning on a series of Matryoshka's charms this year startiiing with
Series 1: Floral
Series 2: Vegetable Garden
Series 3: TBA

Sorta cheating by starting the vegetable ones even before I've finished the first series, but I plan on giving them away to people in Taiwan.

Kept working on some projects (here and there), I'll get to the others eveeentually.
I'll be away in Taiwan for the entire summer, so no luck uploading anything then.

Starting up on a new-ish project, or more like a a sub-series of the GorGor Adventure project.
Joannaraffe would be proud (I suppose)
Here are the specs:

- Featuring Mop Head (who is going to be introduced in GorGor #4)
- sketch 1 is complete, features the origin of his "mop head"
- anywhere from 6-12 parts
- smaller sized pictures than the gorgor series
- similar but less intricate syle than gorgor series
- Mixed media, hopefully with ink, colored pencils, and gouache (watercolor) depending on the picture.
- A lot wilder (as far as expressions and concepts)
- Features others (subject to change): Nail-man, Beard-man, sheep lady and sheep boy, doggy
- May take the rest of my life to finish

(without giving away too much)

Mop Head
known for his "hair" and charm, he either gives people the creeps or girls (and a few guys) flock to him in hoards. Due to the contradictiing circumstances, he's a very mysterious guy. The dog (subject to name change) that sits upon his head provides security. Mop head was once a superstar circus ring clown, he was kicked out to make way for trendier cirque du soleil crew members. After much bitterness, he tried to make a comeback by establishing his own circus tent. It profitted quite well especially when GorGor joined (or more specifically "captured" by mop head in the forest and dressed up in a tutu to perform tricks). After a mass rampage caused by GorGor (who looked into the flash of a camera in crowd), Mop head's final attempt to redeem himself and his career failed. Out to seek revenge on circuses and GorGor, there was no stopping his evil plans. Perhpaps the origins of his insecurities come from "something" that he lost a long time ago, something that occured before his job in the circus... but that is all that can be revealed now

"Doggy"
Mop head's faithful companion, he is what defines Mop head's mop head. A failed experiment to create a miniature Hungarian Komondor/ scottish terrier mix, he was abandoned by a store front.

Nail Man
The first person to join the Mop Head crew, he also shares bitterness and seeks revenge. After being raised by a masculine and buff family and expected to become the next heir to win the hammer throw championships, he broke the news to his father. He never wanted to be forced into his family proffession, and one day sought the courage to tell his father that he wanted to set up his own nail salon in Tokyo. He was immediately disowned, although he never quite made it to Japan, he decided to set up a quiet stand in the Lower East side. His outrageous Japanese nail fashion (which are ornately decorated with charms and sparkles) example: [link] brought to New York never did become the "next big thing". Filled with pain and shame, he drowned his sorrows in candy bars and hard candy. One day a piece of candy got caught in the vending machine by his shop, and the money return button failed. Full of desperation he reached inside from under the flap of the dispenser and was pulled in. He pulled out his hands in time, but could not save his beautiful nails from the onslaught. They became jagged like the ends of candy wrappers and his soul turned cold. He seeks revenge on nail salons and vending machines.
